HOLE-IN-ONE CLUB
Since 2003, The Ladies' Golf Union has hosted a "Hole-in-One Club" for all lady members of affiliated clubs who achieve a hole-in-one in a singles stroke play competition.
The "Hole in One Club" has proven very popular, although a number of ladies have been disappointed if they have achieved a hole-in-one in a non-qualifying competition, such as foursomes or greensomes.
In response the rules have changed with effect from 1 June 2009, and any member who achieves a hole-in-one in an "official stroke play competition" will now be entitled to join.
In addition to the player's name being included in the "Hall of Fame" on the LGU website, each member of the "Hole-in-One Club" will receive a specially commissioned badge and bag tag.
